One of the most common medical conditions that affects people around the world is known as Seborrheic dermatitis. It is a type of dandruff that causes unsightly and sometimes itchy or painful skin conditions. It usually occurs in places on the body that are heavy and rich in oil glands. The condition is technically caused by skin cells that start to overproduce and replicate about ten times faster then they normally do. This overproduction of skin cells starts to cause them to build up which is marked by an itchy flaking combined with scaly, red, irritated skin. The most common place on the body that this occurs is on the scalp, which is usually referred to as dandruff. But it has been known to occur in other places such as the t-zone on the face and in the creases of the sufferer’s arms and legs. There are no easy ways to treat this condition but it is possible to prevent by keeping good hygiene.
